At CBP, we are approved and fully trained installers of the Solarlux Cero range—arguably the most advanced and technically capable sliding door system available in the UK. Known for its minimal sightlines, structural performance, and class-leading engineering, Cero is designed for projects that demand more than a standard sliding door can offer.
This project, currently under construction in Wiltshire, involves a substantial detached property with a charming thatched roof. The homeowners are undertaking a complete remodelling of the house, including a new lower-level expansion of the space, and a side extension withour doors that connects to another part of the house.
One substantial Solarlux Cero sliding door in a three panel design is fitted to the side link extension. providing a seamless visual and physical connection between the various zones of the property.
Solarlux Cero – minimalist and high-tech sliding doors.
Solarlux Cero, part of our overall Solarlux collection, is built for large-span openings with maximum transparency. The doors feature the consistent sightline of 34mm all around, and panel sizes that deliver uninterrupted views across the garden and beyond. This door is virtually 98% glass.
Finished in a contemporary dark grey powder coat, the doors contrast beautifully with the traditional thatched elements of the home, as well as the contrasting modern link extension that will be a striking feature once completed.
As with all doors, the glass is high-specification safety glass, with a neutral tint, soft-coat low-emissivity coating, warm edge spacer bars, and an argon gas fill—all contributing to improved thermal performance and occupant comfort.
Complex Lifting and Site Handling
As with all Cero installations, specialist handling is essential. These doors are delivered from Germany pre-glazed and at substantial weight. For this Wiltshire site, we worked closely with site management and lifting teams to position each unit safely and precisely.

Sliding Doors Engineering for Exposed Locations
This project, though residential in nature, involves installation challenges. This house is in an elevated position with fantastic views over the Wiltshire countryside. As a result, it is severly exposed to driving wind and rain. That’s why every Cero installation we undertake begins with a detailed review of location, exposure, loading, and structural support.
Solarlux Cero systems are more than capable of meeting the highest performance standards for air, wind, and water tightness, but the outcome depends entirely on the care taken during specification, delivery, and installation. We often model worst-case scenarios when assessing wind and weather loads to ensure the system performs safely—not just when it’s fitted, but for years to come.
