This outstanding contemporary home is packed with a bespoke glazing package, polyester powder coated in RAL7022, giving the building a consistent architectural appearance against the dark external cladding and natural surroundings.
This design-ed home, required our specialist expertise, not only in specifying the correct products but also carrying out wind-load calcluations, to ensure every product was fit for purpose. Additionally, the property features deep overhangs, long horizontal elevations and extensive areas of glass. The brief required glazing with:

Contemporary Solarlux Sliding Doors – Cero II
Solarlux Cero was selected for all primary sliding door locations. With its 15mm interlock, structural glass construction and exceptional rolling mechanism, it met both the design intent and the practical requirements of a large modern home. With premium-grade aluminium and deep polyamide thermal breaks, together with high specification glass units. Alitherm 300 windows, part of our extensive windows collection benefit from slim aluminium profiles , giving more glass, more light and less visible aluminium. U-Values are substantially improved as well. With multi-point locking, durable weather seals and the proven reliability of aluminium construction, Alitherm 300 was an ideal match for the architectural design and the performance requirements of this property.
The dark RAL 7022 finish helps the windows blend into the external cladding while allowing the internal spaces to feel light, open and connected to the landscape.
Smart Systems MC600 Curtain Walling
The central section of the property features a double-height void with large panes of glass. Here, MC600 curtain walling provided the structural capability required to support the glass and achieve the architectural design without compromise.
The MC600 curtain wall system was used on this project to achieve the large structural spans and clean vertical lines required by the architect’s design. MC600 provides a consistent 55mm sightline across mullions and transoms, making it ideal for floor-to-ceiling glazing and double-height spaces.
The system can accommodate 24–42mm sealed units, integrates seamlessly with Smart window and door inserts, and delivers strong thermal performance with Document L compliance and CWCT certification. On a new build home of this scale, these characteristics ensured we could meet both the structural and aesthetic demands of the elevation without compromise.
Curtain walling is often misunderstood, and less expert installers will attempt to deliver similar results using standard window systems, with structural mullions or couplers. This approach frequently leads to excessive deflection, poor long-term performance and a loss of design intent. MC600 avoids these issues by providing a purpose-designed façade system capable of spanning larger openings and handling higher loads, while maintaining slim, uniform sightlines. For homes and commercial buildings requiring uninterrupted glass areas, large fixed panes or multi-storey glazing, MC600 remains the correct and most reliable specification — delivering strength, stability and a façade designed to last.
