AT CBP, we are fully trained and approved installers of the ultra-premium Cero Sliding doors – arguably the most technically capable and advanced sliding doors in the UK today.
Solarlux Cero ii sliding doors in Surrey
Mid-way through the construction of this substantial new build home, we have fitted our premium Reynaers aluminium windows and four substantial sized sets of Solarlux Cero II sliding doors.
Solarlux Cero II sliding doors are at the leading edge of architectural glazing design. Engineered in Germany and developed for large-scale openings, Cero offers near-frameless sliding glass with sightlines as slim as 15mm. With panel sizes of up to 6m wide and 4m tall, and a fully concealed outer frame, the cero slider delivers maximum transparency and minimal visual frame —ideal for contemporary homes, high-end refurbishments, and buildings where clean lines and natural light are a priority, such as this installation in Surrey.
Behind the minimalist appearance lies an exceptionally high-performing system and one that is technically superior. Solarlux Cero II doors come with very advanced aluminium profiles having substantial thermal insualtion that works with the high-performance glass. The entire system is tested to class-leading standards for weather, acoustic, and security performance. At the same time cero sliding doors can be specified with motorised operation, integrated drainage, and multiple locking options.
As an ultra-premium sliding system, Cero is designed not just to look exceptional—but to work seamlessly, even on the most demanding projects.
Site conditions for fitting cero doors
Cero doors are designed and made in Germany and specially delivered to the UK in specially prepared vehicles. On site, we rely on site lifting and handling equipment that assist our specially trained installers. Moreover such care is required because Cero sliding doors come from the factory fully glazed and at substantial weights. But once installed are effortless to open and close.
With each glass unit weighing around 420kg each, handling 8 of these does take some help. Often we rely on the the help by Kranlyft with a spider crane and a 60tonne crane as well.
Given the location of the property, the cranes need to carefully lift each panel over the house and then the smaller cranes, help our installers position the sliding panels into the pre-installed frames.

Why Cero sliding doors are some of the best in exposed locations
When we work with customers on Cero sliding doors, the process goes far beyond simply fitting a door into a structural opening. Every project involves detailed technical assessment, including calculations for glass weight, wind pressure, air and water tightness, and overall thermal performance. These factors are critical to ensure the long-term safety and function of the doors—particularly given the scale of the panels and the minimal framing. The system is capable of remarkable performance, but only when correctly engineered for its specific environment.
A property in a sheltered suburb presents very different challenges compared to a home in an exposed coastal location or on a hilltop. In these settings, the doors must withstand significantly higher wind loads and more severe weather. Our calculations often model worst-case conditions to ensure the doors remain safe and reliable over time, not just when they’re new. Solarlux Cero is technically capable of meeting the highest levels of air, wind and water resistance, but its performance ultimately depends on the care taken during specification and planning—and that’s where we focus our attention.
